Welcome to Rainbow Nursery
Rainbow Nursery is situated in a quiet rural location on the outskirts of Saxtead village near Framlingham. As it is set on a farm, there is ample opportunity for the children to explore the countryside in safety and to discover the variety of life around them.
The actual nursery is set in a converted cart lodge which offers a spacious environment in which to work and play, whilst being warm and homely. There is an enclosed garden with a climbing frame on a safety bark surface and plenty of room for games and exercise.
The Nursery is owned and led by Sheena Giblett. Sheena holds a BEd honours degree in Early Years Education and Psychology. She is also a qualified Highland Dancing Teacher (MUKAPTD) and a qualified Brownie Guider. The supporting Rainbow team includes three fully qualified Level 3 assistants, and one more assistant undergoing training at Level 3. Rainbow Nursery is registered by the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) under The Children's Act 1989 to provide 20 places per session and we maintain a staff to pupil ratio of 1:6 maximum.
At Rainbow Nursery, the staff all share the same philosophy. We believe that the Early Years are of vital importance and that the experiences children encounter at this stage will shape their futures in terms of both education and their roles as citizens of the future.
